Catherine Marchant, Fiber and Bead Artist
“I began working with fiber at age 9, when I learned to knit, says Catherine. “I began spinning in 1984 and weaving a year later. In 2000 I earned a Certificate of Spinning from Ontario Handspinners and Weavers. Somewhere along the way a weaving friend introduced me to the world of bead weaving and I acquired another addictive pastime. I love to use bright colors and include glittery threads and beads. I want the people wearing my creations to stand out.”
